So I am going to throw this out there to see if it gets any traction. With all the protests going on across the world and the United States, its time for PPC.bz to get in on the action. If we want change, we gotta vote with our wallets.

For those unfamiliar with LeadImpact, it is a PPV platform similar to MediaTraffic and Trafficvance.

Why Boycott LeadImpact Day?

1. Outrageous Click Discrepancies – What LeadImpact bills you for and what they actually deliver is the biggest gripe among many of its advertisers. A 20% click discrepancy is not uncommon, while 10% or so is the norm. Some people are reporting discrepancies as high as 25-30%. This is fraud of the highest order!

2. Obscene Minimum Bids – Yes, it’s their platform and they can charge what they want. But Trafficvance, a platform with significantly better traffic quality, only requires a 1 cent minimum bid. LeadImpact’s bare minimum is 1.5 cents, but some categories go as high as 2.3 cents (just a minimum – there doesn’t even need to be competition), and others even higher (maybe, the highest I’ve seen is 2.3)

So yeah, it’s their platform and they can do what they want. But when you combine their click discrepancies with the minimum bids, it’s a pretty amazing feat to get a profitable campaign going there.

3. Approval Process – LeadImpact requires some pretty outrageous disclaimers on advertiser’s landing pages that kills conversions. This has never happened to me but its been reported by others.

How Can I Support the Cause
Leave your feedback in the comments, and if you support the cause, along with your daily spend in terms of $xx, $xxx, etc so we can have a rough estimate of how this will effect LeadImpact. You may also call me a tard and stupid turd if you think this boycott is utter nonsense.

What Are Our Demands
1. Fix the issue with click discrepancies because it’s fucking ridiculous.
2. Lower the minimum bid price.
3. If you have other demands leave it in the comments.

Is there a set date?
No. If this idea gets any traction then a date will be set.

But won’t people just run their campaigns while everyone else is pausing
Probably. But those people are scumbags.

Is anyone that’s actually spending big at LeadImpact going to follow through with this?
I don’t know. That’s why this post is here.

Will This Even Work?
Who knows. I don’t know what % of their revenue is made up of affiliates and what % is brand advertisers, nor what % they run internally.

Am I Just Being a Bitch
Absolutely. But if this actually worked, most advertisers should be happy with the results.

Cause if you don’t have it – you might end up on Complaints Board like Nick Throlson, and have your moms house address all over the internets.

But seriously, I want to know more about the guy complaining, “Chuck Turner” because he seems to have a vendetta against my mayne Nick. Why you such a hater “Chuck Turner?” You thought you were going to get billed $1.95 but didn’t read the fine print but now it’s Nick’s fault?

And what kind of Utah resident has something against “trial offers?” Seriously – your state is a safe-haven for all things financially shady and the home of companies that upsell vague “subscription” services on your credit card bill, and you’re complaining against the people that keep tax money flowing to your state?

In the interest of good karma – I sincerely think Nick Neckbeard is an OK guy, just severely misinformed and oblivious to the real world, and certainly fun to make jokes about. Compare him to the people in this industry that are true scam artists, either ripping off networks and affiliates, or selling bullshit to newbies on a mass scale – these are the real criminals and need to be shanked in the throat.

The real lesson here is that YOU MUST protect yourself online, and offline. You can easily get behind a corporation, get virtual addresses, and all kinds of shit so people do not find out too much about you and where you live. If you’re running around with personal info – well, expect the consequences of your actions. Privacy Protection is cheap as shit, and most of the time free, and 99% of people won’t go past a whois lookup.

All time son, no bullshit.

Celebrate both kinds of green on 4.20 – money and …. plants. Yeah… plants.

So to get yourself on the RSVP, you need to email party [at] ppc.bz. Space is limited so if you don’t want to be waiting outside the door forever, get your ass on the list. And if you’re too cool – then you might want to hit up CB’s party on the same night. (I hear Nick Throlson will be there in style – sneaks with a suit OH SHIT BRUSH THEM SHOULDERS OFF)

Let it be known that PPC.bz is stepping its party game up big time. Clearly you can tell because we are planning 3 months in advance rather than 3 weeks. Ad:Tech SF will be from April 19-21 (why yes, it will also take place on 4/20)

This will be a bash to remember, and talked about for ages. While it won’t be as scandalous as the first Ad:Tech party we threw, it will be unforgettable.

The Great YTCracker and the Paper Clique will be performing obviously. But new shit has come to light, and we now have the resources to try and acquire a headline performer.

Please vote on who you would like to see perform at the next PPC.bz party. Even if you are not going, your opinion matters. Below are the performers we had in mind, and one of their hits you can check out.

We cannot guarantee anything yet, but we are definitely trying to gauge interest.

Edit: We may add some newer artists based on recommendations. One vote per day.
