    • Edward says:

Down south in Dallas? Last time I checked that’s really not too “South” IMO.

      • Rob Hustle says:

Grown folk are talking here edward.

Texas seceded from the union in 1861 and was accepted as a part of the confederacy during the civil war. You probably remember that one from history class… you know, the one where they had the North vs. the South?
Look at a map. Geographically, Texas is one of the southernmost points in the continental US. Only Florida beats it.

Ever been to Dallas? They talk funny down there. Remember that TV show with that one guy JR Ewing… what kind of an accent did he speak with? Oh yeah, a Southern one.

And then there’s rap. Texas, with places like Houston, was one of the birthplaces of the Dirty South. While you were failing geography, DJ Screw and dem boys were drinking sizzurp and chopping beats.

All this crunk stuff people listen to now may be new to them, but I promise you dem boys in Texas been had that shit since the 80s.

        So yeah, Dallas = South.

        Moebee, I miss anything?
