Let Me Tell You About Whois Protection

April 14th, 2010 by Barman Leave a reply »

Cause if you don’t have it – you might end up on Complaints Board like Nick Throlson, and have your moms house address all over the internets.

But seriously, I want to know more about the guy complaining, “Chuck Turner” because he seems to have a vendetta against my mayne Nick. Why you such a hater “Chuck Turner?” You thought you were going to get billed $1.95 but didn’t read the fine print but now it’s Nick’s fault?

And what kind of Utah resident has something against “trial offers?” Seriously – your state is a safe-haven for all things financially shady and the home of companies that upsell vague “subscription” services on your credit card bill, and you’re complaining against the people that keep tax money flowing to your state?

In the interest of good karma – I sincerely think Nick Neckbeard is an OK guy, just severely misinformed and oblivious to the real world, and certainly fun to make jokes about. Compare him to the people in this industry that are true scam artists, either ripping off networks and affiliates, or selling bullshit to newbies on a mass scale – these are the real criminals and need to be shanked in the throat.

The real lesson here is that YOU MUST protect yourself online, and offline. You can easily get behind a corporation, get virtual addresses, and all kinds of shit so people do not find out too much about you and where you live. If you’re running around with personal info – well, expect the consequences of your actions. Privacy Protection is cheap as shit, and most of the time free, and 99% of people won’t go past a whois lookup.

I’m surprised that more people don’t use complaintsboard.com to check things out before buying. Stupid really.

Whois doesn’t protect your privacy much. It’s easy to lift that protection to find out who is the perpetrator of shady shit.

another useful, informative PPC.BZ post? What’s up with that?

Unless its godaddy, who will take your site down for no reason, registrars shouldnt reveal hidden whois without some sort of court order or subpeona.

personally, I have no problems with “internet marketing gurus” selling shit to noobs, I’d go so far as to say that its fantastic on many levels.

  13. lol… This is quite sad…

  14. Haha whois privacy. Just another way to charge for a service that is not really needed. :P

Like godaddy’s whole damn upsell process. There is 200 products that are useless and not needed which godaddy makes you think you MUST have.
