If you haven’t heard there was a convention or something in Denver. It was for “affiliates,” whatever that means. It seemed to me networks and advertisers were there, so the name was misleading.
Anyways, I am still hungover and sort of sick so don’t expect top-notch PPC.bz writing from this post.
Wednesday
On this day I thought the convention started. So I decided to head to the convention and upon my arrival, no one was there. What the fucking shit. Why did I think it was on Wednesday? Or did they say it started on Wednesday then switch it up on me. Either way, I said fuck the conference for the rest of the week for fucking me. After wandering for an hour or so, Nick (not the cakes) and I had lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp. I’ve never been, and it still makes me curious how you can get seafood thousands of miles from the ocean.
I drove home to prepare for the Affiliate.com party at a strip club way too north in the suburbs for my liking. This is Ritcher’s club, and the entire experience was a mindfuck. Total mindfuck. Like if you imagined what Wickedfire would be like in real life, it’d go like this: A bunch of socially-inept nerds, a slew of street hookers, throw in some confused dancers wondering why no one is tipping them at a private party, mix with a Shoemoney, and don’t forget to bombard people with the strobing Wickedfire/Shoemoney/Affiliate.com logos on the TV’s along with music that was louder than a jet engine, and you pretty much have a raping of your senses.
Thursday
This night started off with the Webmaster Radio party at Lure. I have to hand it to Webmaster Radio, because this was a nice little party they put together. We only stayed for an hour or two, but the highlight of was certainly the naked painted chicks. They even had a local rapper there … I think his name was Cashmire? Cashmire Sweater or something I don’t know, but he was pretty good. Not on a Paper Clique level but he was a flashy motherfucker.
After that, me and some friends from Neverblue, Copeac, and Hydra headed to this dance club called the church. Usually I am not a dance club fan, but there was a live band playing called Sneaky Sound System, which was really cool to see.
Friday
This night started off with the fun-loving people at Copeac buying a couple affiliates dinner at The Denver Chophouse and Brewery.
Afterwards, the party crew of affiliate networks from Thursday night met up at Lodos, one of the many many bars / clubs in Downtown Denver. The greatest thing was that they played I’m on a Boat! When parody songs become club-bangers you know there’s a chance for the Paper Clique to be world famous.
Wrap-up
Anyways, a lot of affiliates didn’t come because of the supposedly poor party life in Denver. The rest because of the small size of the convention. The convention size, I can understand. But as far as night life goes, Denver > SF & Boston (the only two other non Vegas shows I’ve been to.)

Was awesome meeting you too! Here’s my review: http://www.nickmattern.com/affiliate-convention-denver-review/
Didn’t make it that time – I just heard that the scallywags at richters club ain’t that fine…
I don’t think the Affiliate.com party could be described any better than that…
I thought the Church was some under 21 bar?
