But you goddamn better believe I won’t post the fucking link on a public forum that thousands of people a day visit.
I don’t know what side of the fence you people are on with whole “Hey check out this landing page everyone (then runs off giggling to show it to as many people as possible)” argument, but I’m definitely on the “Keep it to yourself” side. It’s been happening a lot lately and it definitely gets on my nerves. It’s happened to me: straight up whole domain name posted on a forum. I was gonna choke a bitch.
When I talk about “outting” I mean posting it on a forum or to a chat room with 200 would-be marketers. Like the cat it out of the bag type shit. I won’t say why you’re a dickhead for doing this. I won’t get into why you’re an unoriginal shit.
Just gonna say… Imagine it happens to you. You wake up one day and for some reason you visit wickedfire. You see a new thread, with like 300 views about your fucking domain. Or you read shoemoney.com and you know 2,000 of his nut huggers have seen your shit (far as I know shoemoney, or any big blogger [off the top of my head] has never outed a landing page). In an industry full of copycats and posers (i pose to the fullest), your hard work can get blown to shit when everyone (even one or two people) goes “Oh yeah… :: YOINK!::” Yeah, you can always try to stay ahead of the curve, but damn I got 99 problems and a biter ain’t supposed to be one.
This is not like a creative agency where you are proud to show off your work. There’s no award ceremony for us. This is affiliate marketing player, where you put up your own money like you’re at a home game poker table. Imagine some punk ass kid sat down next to you and slapped your Pokect Aces out your hand so that everyone else at the table could see them.

What do you mean by the cut and paste method of clicking on ads? Do you mean right clicking an ad to bring up properties then copying the huge URL listed there. Does that not cost the affiliate money when u paste that long URL in the browser?
I’ve only been copying and pasting display URLs but they don’t always work.

I agree that revealing people’s landing pages is evil, but posts like this don’t really help, either. As soon as I read this post, my first thoughtwas “hmm, I should make a site where people can submit and rate actual landing pages.”
