Fake invoices. Smart people won’t fall for it, but many dumbasses will pay $30 to renew a domain name that costs $8.

    Dynamic Dolphin, Media Breakaway’s Domain Registrar, sends you an email asking for $79.99 to re-register a “deleted” domain. lolz.

    I got one of these yesterday In Australia from an Australian company, they wanted $120 AUD to renew my domain name. WTF

    these guys have been at this for years. they are based in NYC. They also send out Domain Registry of Canada.

    They used to send it without any disclaimers and really cause problems.
    (i used to deal with alot of the backlash while working for a large registrar for many years)

    Yea, I get these exact mails in Greece. The domains they are after are total crap, but the whole thing looks so legitimate and I am certain people fall for it.

    I love the part where it says: “5 Years- Best Value 90$ (save 55$)”
